Teesta Setalvad’s interim bail was extended at Bombay High Court for two weeks. Activist was given relief again.

Lawyers representing CBI requested the Judge to reduce the duration of relief. To which the Judge repeated the relief will be for two weeks. The Judge asked CBI categorically what was the need for custody and where will Setalvad go.

Setalvad’s lawyer offered to the court that she would be available for CBI if they want to ask any further questions.  The High court bench declined CBI’s request for Setalvad and Javed Anand’s presence in CBI office everyday. The Judge asked CBI to fix dates and duration in court.

Ms Setalvad had moved Bombay High Court challenging the rejection of her anticipatory bail in CBI court earlier in the day.
