Hilleletv presents The Imphal Music Project’s new song.
The band has four members Akhu, Sachin, Riki and Raju.

Imphal Talkies is a Delhi based music band from Imphal, Manipur. The band mostly performs protest songs against AFSPA, and atrocities towards minorities

In this new song Rahul Ram of Indian Ocean joins them.
An initiative by Imphal Talkies.

We asked Akhu Chingangbam what is his new song all about. In his own words-

“The song is about many issues that surrounds Manipur. Every community in Manipur hates the other. We try to say something about it by reminding them that we were one once and we will be living together forever no matter what many propagandists say, where will we go? we gonna meet each other everyday. We share history, we eat the same bamboo shoots and fermented fish. Moreover the song is about losing what we had. We are losing Loktak Lake’s beauty and its importance to many people around it like fishermen. Now the govt is burning down the floating huts of these fishermen who have been living there for years”
